Kathmandu. After losing for the second consecutive match, Nepal was kicked out of the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup group stage. Nepal was defeated by India ‘A’ today by a score of 9 wickets.
At the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Nepal made a total of 167 runs in 39.2 overs after winning the toss and deciding to bat. They also lost all of their wickets. The Nepali captain, Rohit Poudel, preserved his reputation by scoring a half-century. Nepal lost its top five batsmen cheaply because it was unable to play honestly in front of the Indian bowlers.
In the first over, the opener, Kushal Bhurtel was ducked out. Dev Khanal 15, Bhim Sarki 4, Ashif Shaikh 7, and Kushal Mall had left the field without having opened their accounts. Together with Sompal Kami, Rohit attempted to manage the innings by sharing 53 runs for the sixth wicket. Nepal was in danger once more as Sompal was removed for 14 runs. Gulshan Jha did, however, support Rohit for a while. The team’s score increased by these two, from 90 to 144 runs. While Rohit scored 65 runs, Gulson added 38 runs. Six runs were contributed by Pawan Saraf.
For India, Nishant Sindhu and Rajavardhan each took four wickets. Manav Suthar and Harshat Rana both took one wicket.
